Meant to Be by Becka L. Jones illustrates her personal journey to Christ and the attention to detail about the aspects of her life positive and negative. Her willingness to begin a new life with few resources and she encounters new places and people that broaden her horizons. The people she met in her life’s journey shows us the impact of how God directly uses people to make us stop and think about our own lives. God deals with her heart advising her along the way with His voice. Along the way, she questioned God- while she remained faithful to listen as she received a healing. Her physical and emotional journey allow the reader to join her as she shares her life and all the unique people in the book that affected her. Her road trip of life is memorable and inspiring. Her story reminds us that love can be found in this world. She reminds us that God will use us directly to show love to others and reveal our specific purpose in this big world. Becka's book is descriptive of her personal experiences, which any reader can relate to in their own personal journeys. It's almost a fairy tale story in that what could have been impending failure, proved to be the providence of God directing her life. Incredible, exciting testimony of true life experiences of an awesome woman of God. Very easy to read and the author keeps your attention with vivid details, like you are there. Vivid details of exciting adventures living in Hawaii and trusting God with major life decisions and small ones too. This book could and should easily be made into a movie! Being filmed on location from Minnesota to Hawaii would make it a very popular film to see. I think a great name for this film should be, "Ocean Butterfly." Reading “Meant to Be” took me on a journey of crazy adventures. Some were done with such wild abandon that I found myself actually holding my breath at times!! The abuse she was subjected to was difficult to imagine. And still she would find the strength to come back from it. God definitely had His gracious hand on her! My most favorite part was the chapter about “her” dolphins! It had me mesmerized! Her best adventure began after she completely turned her life over to God! ​Becka's ability to articulate her testimony in a way that we feel like we are sitting across from her is so touching and real, it changes lives. She is a redeemed daughter of the most high king Jesus Christ and she lives as one! I have known Becka closely for over a decade and she continues to shine Him with her amazing godly husband Lonnie who has been a key part in her journey with Jesus. This is a wonderful book! Reading about the author's real life struggles and rejection and how God provided her with the strength to keep going was encouraging. This is a true story of how the Lord can change your life when you surrender it to Him! The beautiful details of the author's day to day life in Hawaii made me feel as if I were there. Very uplifting! God has blessed this writer with an amazing talent!

It is not often that you read a book like "Meant to Be." Becka L. Jones has a gift from God. She has the ability to give the reader a glimpse of her life story and make a very personal journey come to life. As I read this book, I felt like I was there with her - dealing with personal tragedies and yet having the ability to overcome them, and see all the gifts that God gives. When Becka tells about Hawaii, the beaches, and ocean; I can almost smell the salt air. Whether or not she knew it, when she was meeting people, and experiencing events, God was there with her every moment of every day.
"Meant to Be" lets you experience her life story in a very personal way. Becka is a very skilled story teller. She has a way with words that most writers don't have. This book demonstrates the struggles that she faced and her ultimate realization that God is the answer to all our struggles and with Him, we become survivors.
